The marco StepDot dispensing head completely revolutionizes contact dispensing and redefines the limits of the field. The movement of the dispensing valve is no longer restricted by the machine, breaking through the speed limitations of contact dispensing. While the common market frequency is currently 10 Hz, StepDot technology can achieve frequencies above 100 Hz.
The nozzle of the marco dispensing head moves in the X-Y-Z axes via piezoelectric actuation. The dispensing speed remains unaffected while the machine executes the motion trajectory. Under the combined drive of StepDot, the jetting valve seat generates a reverse traction force opposite to the machine's direction of travel, creating a reverse motion of the valve seat. In terms of motion synthesis, this achieves a brief stationary hover of the needle above the dispensing location, during which the dot is jetted at high speed.
StepDot uses a uniform height and width to draw dots into lines, and corners can be individually adjusted using the rounding function.
